Capital Projects Levy - The new Capital Projects Levy that will be on the April 23, 2024 ballot, authorizes a three-year levy for infrastructure, safety, and health improvements. The estimated tax rate per $1,000 of assessed property value is $1.00. The purpose of the Capital Projects Levy is to finance capital improvements to support learning environments such as upgrading heating and cooling systems, repairing roofs, improving flooring, and asphalt and concrete.

Mrs. Stedman's Kindergarten students have been learning about farms. To celebrate their new learning, the class volunteer brought an antique butter churn in, and they made their own butter to enjoy with homemade bread!

We have revised our current school district calendar to reflect make-up days for the November natural gas leak. Students will now attend a half day on February 16 (Mid-Winter Break) and a half day on April 26 (Asotin Co. Fair).


Mrs. Stedman's Kindergarten class practiced their handwriting today in shaving cream!
Handwriting instruction is essential for supporting our students!
Louise Spear-Swerling writes, "[...] labored handwriting creates a drain on mental resources needed for higher-level aspects of writing, such as attention to content, elaboration of details, and organization of ideas."
