Highland Elementary 1st grade teachers Leanne Fuller and Carol Miraglio have been collaborating for the past 23 years. "We just think that we have been able to give kids so much more by working together and planing together than we would have been able to give alone" Through that model, Fuller and Miraglio have focused on the whole child; meeting their social, emotional and academic needs for 23 years. #beINSPIRED

At Highland we encourage kindness and we have a group of students who have decided to have a “Change for a New Tree” drive. Each classroom will have a decorated can in their room for students to put their change in. Over Christmas break one of the new trees on our school grounds was broken and had to be taken out. The students want to collect enough change to buy a new tree to replace the broken one.  A big thank you for the students who are organizing this, we appreciate your KINDNESS!!

Clarkston School District is changing their enrollment practices to require all students to have proof of a physical address within the Clarkston School District. This change was made to get on level with most other school districts in the state of Washington who require some form of proof of residency. The District is implementing this change for the start of the 2017-2018 school year which starts now with the yearly registration process.

Any new student to the district will be required to verify residency prior to being enrolled. Acceptable forms of proof of residency include a utility bill, lease agreement, or other documentation that you live at an address in our school district. Current students will need to provide proof of a physical address during the registration process.

Registration is open now through March 3, at your local school. Please remember to bring your proof of residency when turning in your forms.
